Good morning and welcome to the weekend

Still in Nova Scotia, working away now for a few hours. I forgot to pop by the past couple of days. I am planning to drive home tomorrow, leave early am, straight through, home after dinner in time for Sunday night football

My country is FUCKED. More restrictions are in place in Canada. The government went from, get vaxed and we'll reopen to, hehehehe, just kidding, we're closing you down again even though 88% of 12 year olds and older are double vaxed. We did what they said to do to return to normal and nope, closing down again

My issue with this is simple, it is not going away. It's been 2 YEARS! Anyone that thinks this is going away and this is the last strain is totally delusional. So if it's not going away, they are going to close down continuously for the next few years?

You just cannot, it's insanity.

Looks like we'll all be getting COVID this time round.

About 5 years about I bought a Raspberry Pi home arcade kit. A little table top thing. Today, I start work on it. LOL It's snowing all day here so I am setting up a card table in front of the TV. I'm going to watch some football bowls games and work on my little project.

Exactly what is happening here as well, we're on a lockdown almost as strict as the heaviest one. Of course my friends in the music/restaurant business is taking the bullet, again.

Rob, yeah eventually something has got to give. In the meantime, I can't worry about things that I can't control so... whatever.

My main concern happens to be whether or not NHL games continue to be played, because that's my main source of entertainment during all of this.

Didn't plan on doing much today. I don't want to go out among the throngs of people that are at the shops and mall. Maybe I'll stay up late after the Leafs game and watch a movie. Depends how tired I get.

It sucks big time when 20 to 25% of the population refuses to get vaccinated. Yeah, the virus still goes around but you don't get as sick or end up in the ICUs. We are back on emergency only medical treatment and under all kinds of restrictions on gatherings, especially those with kids involved. They are also talking about shelving the COVID passes because it isn't slowing transmission. The bars and restaurants want the money so they ignore the pass just to stay open longer. The big fear now is that the vaccinated majority is infecting the non-vaccinated minority, sending them to the hospitals and filling up the ICU beds. For that 20% minority, the 80% are now facing the more strict restrictions, and being told we can't see doctors, go to restaurants or bars, or go to indoor concerts. My mask wearing and distancing isn't for me - it is for that minority, to keep them from getting the virus. I am getting sick and tired of it.

I am really hoping omicron is a fast moving variant that burns itself out quickly.
