Hi there!

I've probably said it in previous years, but tonight is the night we celebrate x-mas in Norway.

I grew up in the bible-belt on the west coast, and we weren't allowed to go out and play with our friends (and show off our presents) until the 27th.
We did meet on the 26th, though, in our local House of Prayer for a [directly translated] Xmas-tree party.
Yea, I grew up in the bible-belt. Explains a lot, doesn't it

For crying out loud - I had plans with the family tonight (yes we celebrate on the 24th) and of course started the day by testing positive for C .... at least i was responsible for buying the booze for tonight - so I wont spend the night thirsty

Up and working, usual plan again for the day off and on mostly. Mother-in-law flies up tonight, if the flight isn't cancelled again. She was suppose to fly up Monday but it got cancelled to today

Bummer on the positive test. Good news if it's Omicron, it's way milder than the first Covid. A friend in Hungary had both, he just posted yesterday that Omicron was a 2 out 10 for being sick while the original was a 9 out of 10. He said vitamin C and D, all good.

Morning.

Three weeks ago we'd planned for a Christmas dinner for a dozen people. Now, we're down to the four of us due to people being directly exposed to COVID. The last one, my daughter, decided to take some soup over to her sometimes boyfriend who she knew was positive. ^ To Ramster's point, Christmas Day will now be like any other except I'll have a fantastic turkey dinner. That's fine by me!

It's quiet here. The Christmas Peace has been declared. They did let people watch it in person this year, but I think it is only because most of the lockdown restrictions only went into effect as the declaration was being read. Yep, we are officially back in semi-lockdown. Bars and restaurants can be open, but small capacity and most have to close by 5pm in the capital area. Not sure if our area is under that or not. Every region now has its own rules, and it is confusing as all heck. I understand why (making sure everyone that needs treatment has a bed and not just a spot in a hallway somewhere. They also need people to care for them.) So far, it seems people are staying out of the hospital. Let's hope the cooling off period helps keep it that way.

We do celebrate tonight and tomorrow. Tonight is a quiet steak dinner with The Husband and The Cat. We showered each other with our favorite chocolates. Tomorrow, we go to The In-Laws for god only knows what. We are taking gingerbread cake and sugar cookies with us - both things none of these Finns have tasted yet. Yes, Art - gluten free. If I want to enjoy I need to get back to work... sigh.. no rest for the perverted.

I have so much work shit to do today, but I also have to get a COVID test for my stomach scope on Tuesday.

Good Morning and Merry Xmas Eve

Have to pick up all the BBQ for tonight and last minute cleaning.

We also had a lot of rain last night I noticed an issue with drainage. Why couldn't the heavy stuff come down during the day so I could see it better. Anyways, since we are suppose to be free of rain till tomorrow I'll have to go out there and see if there is a quick fiz to do before the next storm.

Hincapie, sorry about the C but hopefully it won't be too bad.
