Richard LinkAdmin MIA?

I’ve been trying to get a bug fixed in my copy of Link Admin that runs Jays for weeks, have sent multiple emails, talked with MML, and have had other webmasters using this script report the same problem.

This is starting to concern me. Does anyone know what is happening?

what's it doing, mine will refresh the review page after a while and make you loose descriptions on reviewed sites - so i been doing one and saving the changes other than that its pretty good and I know it takes awhile for a reply from them

And i would like to see a search feature that you could put on the link site from them

I think I heard MrMaryLou say that they were adding some extra features to the next version so we'll just have to wait and see

plateman - I've never timed the refresh, but I think it's about 10 minutes. If you review 20 at a time, and a few of them are movie sites, simply hit Save and grab new ones.

I just cut my review sites down to 10 so it doesn't refresh on me.

Our problem with LankAdmin is not so much in the review portion but when we go back and try to edit links the code references the incorrect site id's. Makes it a bitch to edit when you have to guess the site id

Anyhow - GG - if you get ahold of Richard and cannot get ahold of Jay since he is in SD feel free to have him get ahold of me so we can try to get this resolved. ICQ = 316-594-997

I have my review page set to only 3 & have no problems at all. As far as the editing problem, that only happens when you edit, then go back & re-edit using the same page/window (as far as I know)

Greenie has the right idea 3 per page any more tends to bog it down your tasking your sever as any script will if your pushing it 3 seems to be the magic # for it never had one issue in any of the linkadmins I work with at this setting

Might work for you, but it does not tax the server anymore than 20.
The script is simply writing to and from text files and it may use 2% of CPU.

As far as editing - DO NOT simply hit the back button. You'll probably end up with more errors than you actually see.
FIFO is how it works - First In First Out.
If you go Back with the Backspace, you're loading the OLD links and trying to edit them.
Refresh, then edit.

I don't have Link Admin for Marks, but Jay has it, and it works extremely well.

Marks admin is under construction.. though today it seems like destruction. Submits and everything are fine, just converting everything to mysql.

I had it set to 10 per page, but every now & then you end up with a site that fucks you up (consoles, virus, auto downloads, etc) that causes the browser to crash - I'd rather loose only 2 reviews at the most as opposed to possibly 9 reviews
