Thanks Ramster

Yeah i use it currently also. Its works good jut wanted to see what else is out there. Its easy with Arless once you have your template ready to go and such.

Wanted to see if there was something easier as I will be having people doing it and they dont have that much computer saviness and dont want to overwhelm them in teaching them it and scare em away

Hey Juicy, welcome!

THumbsPlus is comparable, but I prefer Arles because of it's templating features.

Heya Juicy,

I myself do not do too much with templates and stuff but I use Express Thumbnail Creator - happy enough to pay for it, if that means anything

I'm not certain how much simpler this is to use for what you want than Arless.. but it's definitely comparable and for what I use it for, better.

I've been using Express Thumbnail Creator and I also use Gena Web Gallery Creator - they are both great, I've tried pretty much everything that's out there

Someone brought up http://www.sitedepth.com the other day on another thread.

A bit more expensive but from what I gather it's a decent cms.

SiteDepth indeed is a good CMS, but if all you're wanting is a gallery page creator it's a bit of overkill at $399.

Content God is a good CMS at $500 for the lite version. Does TGP galleries, free sites, AVS, handles sponsor banners, automatic htaccess hot-link killer, recips management and more.

But, like Venturi said about that other program, it's overkill if you want a simple gallery maker and aren't into owning a traffic and revenue creating raw business machine.

Arles was my favorite little Windows program back in the days when I used those.

honnestly, for getting basic gallery layout going I like using Front Page and Irfanview. besides header graphics and ad text, I can whip a gallery up in 2 minutes.

If it's just thumb creation you want seriously try Irfanview. Open an image, click file then batch convertor or whatever it is and it has an awesome setup that's quick and simple to use

The very latest version of Arles, that was JUST RECENTLY released is DEFINITELY worth the money to upgrade. It kicks ass.
