This is so fucked up.

I need 75 feet of wood fence replaced from where the tree and hurricane took out my old fence. Seems simple enough but when calling around I'm being told that the city I'm in is 6 to 8 weeks behind on permits so I'm looking at a few months before they can even start.

Then this morning I get a call from one of the fence companies telling me to call their friend who has a cousin in the permits department who can get the permit much sooner. So I call and I'm put through to the friend of the friend who has numbers for me to call and each place I have to tell them who refereed me to them and on and on.

Marty who says that his first cousin will be calling me later today can take care of my fencing needs right away. So I'm waiting for a phone call.

This reminds of trying to buy drugs or something. Fuck all I want is some fence replaced that was damaged in the storm.
