I have been using phpAdsNew for quite some time . . . I figured I would put together a few things to help people get the most out of it.

Tip #1: Always use "HTML Banner" when setting up a new banner - this will allow you to create your own ad instead of using vanilla - banner only - granted you can have the text underneath . . . my results have always shown that when I can flex some extra muscle into the ad that it does so much better.

Tip #2: Organization is key. Advertisers = Sponsors and Publishers = Your Sites. Set them up accordingly and you will be a much happier camper when it comes to analyzing stats and removing non performing ads.

Tip #3: Learn to use includes. Method is your choice - I use php. Title the include after your zone ( ie amateur-freesite-small-odd.php ) and store these all in a directory on your server. Inside these files you will store the invocation code generated by phpAN. You do this so in case you need to change your invocation code you can edit just the one file and not the code on 100's of pages.

Tip #4: Analyze those stats. When I add a new site to my advertising line up I add 4-5 ads for each size. After a week I will trash the 2-3 lowest ctr having ads. Then you are left to tweak the top two. Compare your ctr with your conversion sales and that is where the weight of the ads come in.

If I think of anything else I will post it
