What makes or breaks a gallery?

OK guys, I am posting this thread in various other boards to get some info for my next article for the Adult Buzz Blog I want to hear your ideas and opinions on what makes a good gallery and will get accepted and bring in sales to the submitter.

As an Adult Webmaster; what makes or breaks a gallery? What elements makes the whole process of the gallery building a success?
