It’s going to be a long whack-a-mole Wednesday

We are having contractors here to replace the air ducts in the attic at 6am, since it gets so hot up there they wanted to get here as early as possible, so naturally I get woken up at 5am from my cat and the pain in my legs from mowing the grass yesterday and walking into a huge fire ant hill and getting 20-30 bites on my legs wouldn’t let me fall back asleep.

Nothing exciting here, just the typical editing, and building new FS.

Some people get up way to early...

Still got htis little cold that I usually have in the middle of the summer but it's almost gone now (cold + summer).
Tomorrow I'm gonna be a little older again but I think I'll have the party on friday since thursday is such a lame day.

Anyway, have a great day all.

Interesting Fact of the day from “Time” magazine:

Days Ronald Regan spent at his California ranch during his 8 years as President
335

Days George Bush has spent so far at his Texas ranch in his 5 years as President

Good morning all!

Torn, Fire ants suck! I used to live in texas, we had plenty there. The best cure is to get 2 bottles of rum, several bottles of coke, a large amount of ice, several limes... mix well... drink

Good morning, everyone!

I despise Wednesdays.

Torn...long ago, in my role of "cool Mom," I piled a bunch of middle school girls and a picnic basket into the car and took them to the local park and lake. I spread out a blanket and we all sat down...right on top of a red ant hill. Ah, I can still hear the screaming. I was "less than cool Mom" for a while there. Ouch.

Good Morning.

Got friends coming into town for a couple of days today. Will probably try our luck at the Casino tonight or tomorrow night.

Wow morning again.

I start beginners Spanish school tonight. It's only one night a week and right up the street. In fact it is being held at one of the schools that I went to when I was a child. It was very odd when I went there a few weeks ago to signup walking down the hallway past the very lockers that I used as a little girl.

Other then that I'm just going to be around my house working.

Espresso and Vegetable Pad Thai is now being served.

This is the time I usually start waking up at and it is just plain wrong that I’ve been up for 4 hours.

My legs are on fire, for those who never been bitten by a fire ant imagine having a mosquito bite on top of your poison ivy that looks like a nasty white head zit, not very appealing at all and feels worse.

The AC contractors got here an hour late, but seem to be good guys who know what they are doing, but they wasn’t told the full story on the situation, and to top it off they drove from Tampa this morning (2.5 hours) since the owner/foreman is the home owners brother, and he was told it was a small job, which it is not, the entire duct work needs replaced and we have had 5 estimates that all said the same thing that no one bothered to tell him about until I talked to him, so he drove all the way here thinking he would be done in a few hours and home for dinner and I got to burst his bubble.

The landlord was suppose to let him know if this house ever had a AC problem and was shocked to find out that it’s been known for a month that there was a issue and not a week as he was told by our landlord, so I may have just started something….

Is it time for bed yet?

I love having workers in the attic, not.

It's just duct work, stop bitching. I had workers in my attic, on my roof, in my house, and all over my yard for months last year. I remember getting out of the shower and having to walk past a room full of construction workers to get to my temporary bedroom for weeks on end. Then there was the guy that would show up and sunrise each morning and start singing with his boom box all day long. The best part was when the tile dudes used jackhammers for days on end ripping up my old floors.

Good morning! Just went on a very long drive to the rich folks part of town and looked at all the gorgeous houses. I love that.

Torn, I really feel for you! Fire ant bites are just hellacious. An oatmeal bath might help with the itch - Aveeno makes some good ones. Other than that, I recommend liquor

And yes I think it's time for bed! Y'all have a great day.

Oh my goodness, you said Pad Thai!! Yum. . .now I'm hungry!!

Did all the lockers and everything look really small? Whenever I go back to visit my old schools, I can't get over how little everything looks.

Good morning all!

I've always been really big so everything has always looked really small. lol

I found it very sad how everything is covered in iron bars and chain link fencing now. That and how everything looks really dirty and beat up. I only went to school there for one semester and it was sparkling clean back then even through the school was over ten years old already.

The school, it's a high school, is in a good part of town but I am a bit worried about parking my car in the lot across the street where we are required to park since it is not lighted well and I am going for evening classes.

Damn you and your evil green ways.

Hey, did Jim ever replace the chocolate fountain that he broke? Maybe it just needed some colon blow to get it's chocolate flowing.

Morning all. I'm just a' sittin' here a' reviewin'. Two sites down, two to go.

Was there something else I was supposed to be doing? Hmmm ?

You really shouldn't mention colon blow and chocolate in the same sentence.

I still haven't recovered from Alex the chocolate factory exploding in my rich neighbor's boat when Angel fucked his ass.

Went to look at some stuff today and found something I would really like to buy

After that I went to the greek restaurant and had my classic Fassoulada, good shit. Had a half hour discussion with the guy that owns it and we agreed that the world is one fucked up place

Well today is a rest day for me. The body is trying to figure out why it's legs and arms are in pain. lol.
Fire Ants? Oh god. Stood in a pile for 30 minutes once. Stupid Private Jugg back in Basic Training was told by the Drill SGT "The general will be speaking to all of you, you little fuckers better stay at attention! I see one shithead move and you are all in the sand pit for the afternoon!" Needless to say that made for some interesting comments from him afterwards. "You are so dumb private, look at your legs!!!!!! I should have you written up for defacing government property!! If I was you, I would have moved you stupid ass!!!" lol

Fire ants bring bad memories. I was fly fishing one day, some years ago, and was peering intently into the water of a lake to try to see what the fish were interested in. I don't know how long I stood still, waiting to see something, but evidently it was long enough for half the nest I was standing on to swarm up my legs, inside and outside my pants. Man, talk about getting naked quick!

Today is finishing a little fine-tuning on the export tools for our new free hosted galleries, and getting our newsletter ready to go out.

Having some kona coffee with a side of pumpkin pie.

Simon

P.S. Anyone who wants to grab some galleries before the official release, just pm me here or on icq (269043019) and I'll be glad to give you a link to the new tool.
