School me on Traffic Trading
So I'm researching traffic trading scripts, and I'm trying to wrap my mind around how the whole thing works.
Someone referred me to jb scripts swiftclicks, but reading about it, I'm not quite sure how it works or what it does. Is the whole point of traffic trading using a script to manage your outbound links, and then skim visitors clicking on your outbound links and sending them to your trading partners? |

traffic trading scripts are designed ot increase overall traffic numbers to your site. You trade with another site sending him 100 hits a day and he in return will send you 100 hits a day roughly.
So you have a site that gets 3000 hits a day without a traffic trading script. It will stay at 3000 hits a day unless you get some good SE positions or buy traffic. Now take that same site with 3000 hits and set up a trade script adding 10-15 sites in it. Being your "base" traffic those 3000 hits will likely click 3-4 links each so you have 10,000 "clicks" let's say. Of your 10,000 clicks you send 2000 to trades, getting 2000 back. Well with 3000 hits to start with and getting 2000 back from trades your site is now 5000 hits already! In theory of course. But skimmed traffic from trade scripts is not the best traffic but if you work it properly you can still make money |

But if my outbound links are to sponsors, why would I want to trade a potential sale (click) for a new visitor that may or may not even click on my sponsor links?

Me fail English? That's unpossible!

If each visitor clicks an average of 3 times on your site, you'd be trading one of those clicks for a new visitor who clicks another 3 times. Repeat.

WHO IS FONZY!?! Don't they teach you anything at school?

Some people also use trade scripts to manage their top lists and send traffic out only through those and never skim. The traffic out is of a higher quality and you usually end up with some decent returns assuming you cherry pick your trading partners.

Aw, Dad, you've done a lot of great things, but you're a very old man, and old people are useless
