Jim I share your disappointment with the Dem's.. it is sad how quick they are to talk smack and then cave to Bush's whims... pathetic

Bobc01 - I am surprised, I thought health care in the UK was pretty good.

as for not voting because all politicians suck.... I just can't agree with that. I think it is defeatist, if more people used the power of their vote on a consistent basis I think things could get done. The founding fathers really set up a great system (except for the whole white land owner thing) and if it is used properly the populace has the real power. The problem is that Americans have become complacent and just accept what the Govt says.

We have given up making our elected officials be responsible for their actions and votes.

just my 2 cents

I know I will still vote. I always will...but this time, for who? The Democrats seem to do very well with non-binding resolutions but, not much else. It's sad to think but I don't think the country is ready for a Woman or a Black President. So, all that's left is Edwards/08

Heh heh I agree with you. I do however like Edwards and Obama.

I don't think Clinton is electable in a general election and I think Obama has a very unfortunate name to go along with him being black that will tend to make the general population scared of him.

That leaves Edwards and with all the hype about his $400 haircut it pretty much shows the maturity and intelligence of the media and 'golly gee whiz maw, I cun vote' crowd

Well yeah if you don't mind a long wait for crucial operations.

Everything here is fucked now, too many immigrants clogging up the systems and draining resources.

Most come here and get free housing plus benefits and don't make any effort to find work.

Thanks to our overly political correct goverment (bunch of pussies) the tax payer ends up loosing to pay for these fuckheads.

Property prices, the average house is 7x the value of the average salary so if you're not on the housing ladder here then you probably will never be.

I could go on and on but i think greenie and jim would charge me for the disk space.

I was just thinking the same thing. My wife and I often talk about relocating to another country. I always say Mexico and my wife says the UK. She just can't get enough of the English. It was like she won the lottery when dish network started offering The Eastenders on pay per view.

Eastenders is known as being a doom and gloom tv show here, full of dull depressing cockneys with the intelligence compared to one of the fruit and veg stalls that appears on there.

The eastend of london is a place you'd feel glad that you didn't live in or near.

If ever i were to move countires again i'd move back to Australia but as far away from south australia as i could so i wouldn't bump into the ex-wife.

With the exchange rate even with the US $ to the AU $ you could do quite well over there without the piss poor weather we get here.
