Sure you were shot and had no chance, and that REALLY sucks, the person who did it should be in prison or dead. Being a paramedic for years I have seen my share of gunshot wounds and I don't like to see anyone shot or hurt in anyway, but if it comes down to me or the person who is threatening me or my family he is going down. Even if you banned guns people would still get them and use them. Drugs are illegal, people still use em. Booze was illegal and people still drank. As far as today's society there are still plenty of reasons to have a gun, here is just one reason: Hunting, reduces the ever growing population of wildlife that can ruin crops and cause property damage. In the state of Michigan more deer are killed by cars than by hunters. This is because they are breeding so fast out here. Hunting could be to eat, protect their crops, or thin the herds. Again not trying to get into a heated debate with you on it, and I do hate that this happened to you, but its not the guns as you and I have both said its the people. Just reminds me of the tobacco lawsuits. It's not the cigarette manufacturers fault that someone gets cancer, its their own. People need to take responsibility for their issues. Just like the bar owner needs to take responsibility for the security of the people in his establishment. -Andy |
