Well, I don’t think its overkill. I feel that it would be to time consuming to go over all sites, contact the sponsors or the content studios and try to get hold on the ID’s and documents for all the content. Some sponsors I have contacted regarding this has not even replied, some tells me that they will be dropping some sites… So I feel it’s safer to remove the old stuff and go for a fresh start when we all now where this will actually take this business.

Obviously, you can't just swap in softcore if you have sites listed in hardcore categories. You'd be better off deleting them than breaking rules and thusly creating sites that aren't going to produce sales.

But but but, why not wait awhile longer? See what info trickles out the next few weeks.

On the other hand, and this comment isn't pointing at just you mist, if anyone is shaken this easily without knowing all of the facts, I just assume they pull their sites.

That's what I'm doing.. somehow I doubt this thing is going to go through in it's current form. People are throwing out scenarios like "300 cp webmasters rounded up in last 2 weeks".. well how's this for a headline "Bobby 'The Rapist' Johnson, who raped and killed 14 women by posing as a webmaster to find out confidential information such as name and address, has finally been caught."

It's not like porn is just going to go away if we're required to keep records and post our adresses. It does suck though, I wish we could fast forward a year and see where this is going, it's clear as mud right now .

Yes, that would be a rather nice if we could do that, but I think it will be very interesting to follow it through, though, and see how the business will change and what new opportunities that will rise from it.

You will find very few sponsors actually have the rights to give away IDs. Some are doing it and hoping they do not get into hot water. A model will sue before long if this is done wide spread.

Not to mention the other sections of the porn industry using it as a reason for models not to work for Internet companies.

They already tell models their privacy is safer with a $30 DVD from and adult porn shop, than it is on the free sites all her male friends a family surf. Telling the models that we're giving out her IDs will slam the lid shut I'm afraid.

In Canada we has strict privacy laws. It would be illegal to give out the info without the express WRITTEN contsent of those involved. This is not likely something that would be practical to do going back to 1995.

I would advise that to sponsors every where. The US courts would not look kindly on a pornograher who was distributing a students IDs because she happened to do a days work modelling nude.
