Good afternoon all

Well, I'll be heading to the airport in a couple hours to go see Momzilla for her birthday. Still packing a few things...just moved a bunch of work stuff onto a memory stick...those things are cool!

Not sure how available I'll be next week...this trip is mostly about spending time with Mom, as according to her doctor...it's pretty likely this will be her last bday

We've talked about it...and she's actually okay with it...being a realist helps at times...

Anyway...have a great week everyone. I'll try to check in when possible.

Many sales to all!

Have a great time with her, your mom rocks... reality can help and sometimes can be a bitch, it all depends on the strength of the person, age, pain and a lot more factors.
Your presence will help her a lot so spend this week with her 24/7

Hello All! I'm planning on goofing off all day, then going to a Luau tonight, as I stated in the Birthday thread. I love my birthday, I have an excuse to goof off, lol.

MrYum, sorry to hear about your Mom. I don't know what is better, being able to plan for something like that, or having it happen very suddenly like it did to my Mom. Either way, I know it sucks to lose her. Hope you have a great visit.

Good LUCK Cleo, I just went through that, but fortunately, My dirt in the line was from a recent renovation to my bathroom shower, and the tile guy got some dirt in the lines. Is there any chance something like that happened to you? I know you redid your bathroom lately too, didn't you? I hope it ends up not being to pricey. Our dirt here has a lot of clay in it, so it had stuck itself pretty good to the main drain wall, and gave an area for everything else to get stuck too. Once they got it out, we haven't had any issues.

Yes actually and the thought did go through my mind. I redid all my bathrooms a little over a year ago and I know that my back guest bathroom, no one ever uses it, got a bunch of stuff down the drain both from getting the shower pan replaced and from not having the drain from where the toilet goes properly covered while redoing everything.

It's costing me $500 to have the video camera put down the pipe but tis way I'll know for sure what's up. I've had trouble with this pipe since buying this house and have had to have it cleaned out ever few years or so but it seems like the problem got worse this last year.

I hope it ends up something simple. We had issues too since we moved in, and this last time we found we had cleanouts in the back of the house we didn't know we had (the owner had coffee cans over them, buried in the patio slab. We took them off, gee cleanouts) so they ran the snake from the back towards the front and we haven't had any issues since then.

I think the dirt from the bathroom remodel, plus we probably have had a partial clog back by the back cleanout since we moved in. (Guy had a 75' snake, and from our back cleanout to the front cleanout, it barely reaches, so no way they ever got back where the plug appeared to be, before, because the lamer that came the two times before only had a 50' snake, snaking form the front)

One thing we did find out, our main line goes to the back of our house, under our patio slab, then under our storage addition, and NOT under our new kitchen and bathroom floors which is really nice. An odd way to run it, but if we ever had to dig it up, at least we would not have dig up the middle of the house. I really hope that yours ends up something simple too and not broken pipes.
