HELP > REGISTERFLY registrant is killing me
hi there, don't know if that's the right place to post in this forum, if not, move it to the appropriate location
i'm getting mad & really despaired - some of my domain names are soon to expire - but it's impossible to renew domain names at registerfly.com : they say "you have first to change contact here or there etc.", and well i do so but it never works (last year i already had thos troubles ....) - i posted like 20 support tickets since one month & always get same auto-response, so on one of my tickets i said "are you dumb or what ? do you read my tickets ? i do what you say and it still does not work" - then i got a super message "your tickets will disregarded , as we do not accept the use of profanity, no matter the circumstances.". I just said "are you dumb or what ?" and insisted on the fact that i was about to lose all my income. COol. - yesterday i called them on the phone and could have them (hurray) they said : tommorrow it'll work. Mmmmm ... - today i go on my panel and try to renew: still does not work, and i see they took 9.99. FOr what ? DOn't know, the quick checkout for purchases does not work too. THen get a mail : the renewal for "domainxxx.com" could not be renewed cause "Purchase price is greater than available balance". My balance is like $40 and purchase prie is 8 or something (and they did take 9.99 for i don't know what, remember ?) - I insisted on the phone and support tickets to say : "if i lose these names me and my family will be STARVING, this is a real sos, i think it's not THAT hard to renew a domain name" - I thought of forwarding these domain names to a new account at another registrant, but a friend of mine who has SAME problems tried to do so and it did not work too. - So here we are : in front of a WALL ; what can i do ? |

I have a domain that was purchased from a friend last year that was with them. Tried to move it from RegisterFly to my usual registrar a couple months ago when it came up for renewal. Total pain in the ass that took way longer than it should have, but after multiple trouble tickets, phone calls and bs excuses about their upgrades...I did FINALLY get it moved. Would never register a domain through them
Sorry I don't have any good advice about how to fix your issue...other than be tenacious and try to keep a cool head through the process. Good luck |

name and pay another year for anyone through their Gold VIP dept.. At GoDaddy I'd have to call and get a gift cert in your name and work it that way. Not sure about Fly but I have alot of Domains there and know people in accounting so I'm sure things could be taken care of. Just paying to renew a Domain doesn't give you any control over it. I must say tho Registerfly are #1 screwups. I bought 116 Dot nets on Oct 13th and had them on my Domain manager but with no registrant info nor could I add it. It took them till the 28th to get it straight and then they had to re-register them. Before anyone asks why I buy domains there I got the .nets for $2.95 each. Bubbashouse, I don't have that much to do with it. I own it but have a reviewer who's been there for over 5 years and he takes care of it, outside of getting someone a partner acct I let him (Tommy) run it. |

It's OK with me, Anyone can and if I can help in some way I will. Some General info about Rfly support. Rfly started selling .nets for $2.75 and .infos for 60 cents each and got swamped a few months back. The volum of domains being registered was so heavy they couldn't handle it and alot of domains timed out before they were registered, hence people were told domains had been reg'd when in fact they wern't. Happened to me a couple of times where half were and half wern't. Getting to them on the phone was impossible, so they added phone lines and also new equipment to handle the flow of domains being Reg'd. Support?? All of a sudden they have to hire a flock of new ones and where they gottum is anyones Guess. If I call for something I tell them how to do it half the time.. If you ever call them ASK and keep his name so if ya have to call again you can say So&so told me he was going to take care of it.. You can PM me but also log in at RegFly and put in a support ticket ATTENTION Sam Alvarez Rapid Response Tell him your prob and mention Dave from Bubbashouse said if anyone could straighten everything out he can.. Sometimes a pat on the back or to commend someone moves mountains. He's good people and he does know what he's doing.. Just be pleasant on the ticket.. I don't have to be careful. I got a gun

I wanted to buy domains using registerfly few years ago but I had a problem and needed to contact their support.
After talking to the support guy I was SURE I should never use registerfly nor should I let them know any of my infos. |

Sorry Fonz...no idea with those fuckers
Just a heads up for those that still have domains with RegisterFly...I'd strongly suggest getting out asap. Got an email this morning from their automated system saying that my account was accessed two days ago. The IP address accessing the account was not mine and I haven't logged in there in a couple months. Upon logging in to see the 'report' referenced in the mail, I see the domain I moved from them months ago is still listed in my domain manager. Since I have no active domains with them, whoever it was that accessed my account couldn't do anything malicious. But, damn glad I moved that last domain a few months ago. |
