Morning!

That was pretty much my last 24 hours

I'm still not right (or as "right" as I normally am) but I'm feeling a lot better than yesterday

I'm gonna work as long as I can & then back to bed for me

Happy Hump Day

Got up at 4:30 this morning to go to the gym with Christy. She looked at me and said lets just go back to sleep so we did.

Just a day of work planned along with a few errands. I'm about have way though Adobe Classroom in a Book for Illustrator. Hoping to finish it up within a few weeks so that I can get back to taking my required courses for my state license.

Can't begin to express how much I hate talking these courses every two years.

They don't even make any sense. I did one of the one hour courses last week and it was all about roofing codes. Another one that I have to do is for handicap access codes. In fact most of the courses have nothing to do with A/C Contracting which is my license. I always finish the course and get a passing grade on the test in way less than the required time so I end up sitting at my computer clicking the mouse once a minute in order to get my required time in.

Maybe i just need a lot more of this

Lots to get done today, and it's shaping up to be a beautiful day out there so I need to avoid seeing my neighbors this morning. Otherwise I'm likely to get asked to go for a boat ride to check some crab traps. Then on the way back we'd probably stop at an out island, toss out some chairs and an umbrella and enjoy some tasty ice cold mojitos.

And as nice as that would be...I really need to get a newsletter out today and that'll never get done with rum in the sun.

(apologies to those living in a frozen wonderland...but hey, no one's forcing you to stay there!)

We are expecting rain today which we most certainly need. Problem is it could be a lot over the next few days and with no real precipitation this year this may cause other issues.

Bunch of work today and that's about it.

Today I am still trying to get over the crushing disappointment of a shit birthday yesterday. I was walking a friend's dog and rather than take sandwiches I stopped off at an "outdoor" McD's for burgers. So when people ask me what I did to celebrate my birthday all I can say is "I took a friend's dog to MacDonald's, and we split a McFlurry!"

Then I get a phonecall from my Dad. As it is one of those birthdays with a zero on the end my sister is arranging a party for me on Sunday, and my father phoned to say he was not coming. His reason was basically that he just did not want to come!

Then I get home and find an email sent to me by whatever script runs this board saying there would be a "Happy Birthday" thread in this board for me. But it was a lie, no such thread.

Me is gonna sulk now!

I tend to keep my age quiet not through vanity but for commercial purposes. Most people assume someone my age is too old to design websites/write software so I never reveal my age online as I sometimes need to find work from others, and I don't want them knowing how old I am.
