What exactly is and AVS site?

You're pretty much right Virgo, except for the bit of having total control over content and advertising. AVS's have rules about what type of content you can use, how many banners you can have, etc., but if you follow them it's still a very good business, and the rebills are great!
There are 2 types of AVS sites Premium and regular, regular sites you can make much easier than free sites and only need about 20 pics. They $15-25 a signup no recurring. http://www.lipsdick.com/blondabuse/ is one that has about 30 pics inside and pays $25.
Premium ones are the best though, they have to be a little better designed with about 300 pics and pay $10-15 recurring, whith a good niche members stay forvever. http://www.hotwetvagina.com/pussy/ is one.
It used to be that damn near everyone was doing them but when AdultCheck fucked everyone over a lot of people dropped out. I've still got around 300 of them.

Although you need to hire someone if you cannot do at least a semi-pro design, you might find these days that the modern style of AVS - video-only AEN (adult entertainment network) - is a better bet. And you don't have content, hosting or 2257 to worry about.

Deluxepass.com would be my recommendation...

Oh yeah... I've gotten so used to rules being everywhere with everything, it didn't occur to me that it'd be worth mentioning.

Hey Everyone,
I've seemed to have answered quite a few of these questions over the past week, and it's a good sign that there are AVS systems doing well.

Depending on what content you have, or what type of traffic you draw will help figure out what program works best for you. I would also recommend trying a few. I would try a free sytem, a premium, and a video sytem, like deluxe pass, or screw.

The reason is the average surfer doesn't buy just one site, especially when a free one is an option, and if they browse and join more than one, you have really benefitted. Make sure the system you use has a program in place that has cookies attached to the surfer so you get credit days after they have left your tours.

If they are looking at specific niche type content, they are more likely to bookmark the sites that have what they are looking for. It is especially important to have the tour and/or join pages keep the theme you are selling. If you have tranny site, for example, make sure you don't have teens on the join page. Most systems will allow you to customize your tours and join pages.

Lastly, on your mini site, make sure you brand your own site well. Have content that shows your urls, and watermarks are great, even if only on one pic. Visual marketing works. The idea of an AVS, is to sell to it's existing members as well. Make sure you track who is sending you back traffic.

This is true..... we run two of the largest AVS sites out there right now: www.freenetpass.com and www.xxxsexticket.com. Both still do very well for webmasters and they both contain tutorials inside the webmaster area that give you step by step instructions for what you need to do incase you wish to look.
